26-Sep-2011	Mr Vayalar Ravi, Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs and Civil Aviation and Mr. Saqr Ghobash SaeedGhobash, Minister of Labour of United Arab Emirates have signed a revised Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on manpower. The revised MoU will boost the initiative of the Indian government in implementing Web Based Attestation Procedure for employment contracts for emigrant workers in UAE by the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi. The MoUprovides for the following: 1. Facilitation of the recruitment of Indian manpower for working in the UAE; 2. Broad procedure for employment of workers; 3. Responsibilities of the employers and workers; 4. Exchange of knowledge and experience in job-creation and generation of employment opportunity; 5. Protection and welfare of workers under the labour laws and regulations of the host country; 6. Authentication of the work contract between the Employer and the employee by the Ministry of Labour, Government of UAE; and 7. Constitution of a Joint Committee comprising of at least three Members each from both the Governments to implement the provisions of the MoU	View Photos

31-Dec-2010	Odissi dance performance by Shri Kundan Mukherjee An Odissi dance performance by Shri Kundan Mukherjee and his disciples was organized at the Embassy of India auditorium. Shri Kundan Mukherjee began learning dance at a very tender age. He has performed Odissi dance in different festivals like Sikkim festival, Barda festival in Maharashtra, Gangotri Mahautsav in Banaras and Kalakshetra Festival in Chennai. He has also performed in private TV channels. The programme started with a performance showcasing Mangalacharan – Ganesh Vandana which was followed by five other forms of Odissi dance presented by Shri Kundan Mukherjee accompanied by his disciples. The concluding performance was Moksha which represents “spiritual liberation.
18-Dec-2010	Inauguration of Yoga Class Cultural Wing inaugurated yoga class at Indian Embassy auditorium on December 18, 2010. The chief guest of this very special occasion was Dr. K. Ellangovan, Counsellor Community Affairs- Indian Embassy, Abu Dhabi. Other dignitaries include Mr. Thomas Varghese – Honorary President, India Social & Cultural Centre (ISC) and Mr. Ramesh Panicker- Honorary General Secretary, ISC Abu Dhabi. The programme started with lighting of the lamp followed by the performance showcasing invocation to Lord Ganesha. A classical dance was also presented by young artists of the choreographer Mrs. Asha Nair. The yoga teacher cum fitness expert, Mrs. Sandhya Dixit delivered a talk about importance of yoga and accompanied by a student Ms. Ramya, demonstrated various forms of asanas followed by fusion dance titled “Samanvaya” which is a combination of Yoga and Indian classical dance. إفتتاح فصول يوغا إفتتح الجناح الثقافي فصلا ليوغا بقاعة السفارة الهندية بتاريخ 18 ديسمبر 2010. و كان السيد الدكتور إيلانغوفان المستشار بشؤون الجالية الهندية بالسفارة ضيفا رئيسيا و حضر هذا الفصل عدد كثير من كبار الشخصيات بما فيهم السيد ثوماس فارغيس الرئيس الفخري لدى المقر الهندي الاجتماعي و الثقافي و السيد راميش بانيكار السكرتير العام الفخري لدى المقر الهندي بأبوظبي. بدأ البرنامج بإضاءة مصباح ثم الدعاء إلى الإله غانيشا. تم عرض رقصة كلاسيكية و ألقت السيدة سانديا ديكشيت خبيرة لياقة بدنية و مدربة يوغا كلمات عن أهمية يوغا برفقة الطالبة السيدة رامية التي عرضت عدة أشكال موقف و هيئة يوغا و قدمت رقص فيوزون المسمى سامانافايا الذي هو مزيج من يوغا و الرقص الكلاسيكي الهندي.
10-Dec-2010	Instrumental Music and Dance performance An evening of Instrumental music and dance performance titled “Ithu Oru Ponmaalai Pozhuthu”, which was a felicitation to Padmashree S.P. Balasubrahmanyan was organized by Cultural Wing in collaboration with Bharathi for Friendship, at National Theatre, Abu Dhabi. S.P. Balasubramanyan is a veteran singer, who has been associated with the Indian film industry for the past thirty years. He has sung over 39,000 songs, in five different Indian languages. He was presented with a number of National and State award as a music director and actor. The guest speaker was Director, Mr. Bharathiraja. There was a colorful cultural show of dance presented by the students of Natananjali followed by instrumental music. أمسية ثقافية للرقص و الموسيقى الآلية نظم الجناح الثقافي للسفارة بالتعاون مع منظمة بهارثي للصداقة أمسية للرقص و الموسيقى الآلية في المسرح الوطني بأبوظبي و ذالك لتقدير المغني الهندي الأسطوري الحائز على جائزة بادما شري الهندية السيد إس. بي. بالاسوبرامانييان. يشتغل السيد بالاسوبرامانييان في السينما الهندية منذ السنوات الثلاثين الماضية و غنى أكثر من 39 ألف أغنية في خمس لغات هندية مختلفة و حصل على جوائز وطنية و إقليمية كثيرة.

14-Nov-2010	The Cultural Wing of Indian Embassy in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Indian School is organizing a painting competition on the occasion of Children’s Day on 14th November 2010. The competition will be open to four groups: Classes 1 to 4, Classes 5 to 7, Classes 8 to 10, Classes 11 and 12. The venue of the competition is Abu Dhabi Indian School and the competition will start from 10.00 a.m. for 2 hours. Information has been sent to all Indian schools. The results of the competition will be conveyed to the principals of the respective schools. إن الجناح الثقافي لسفارة الهند بالتعاون مع مدرسة أبوظبي الهندية ينظم مسابقة الرسم بمناسبة يوم الأطفال بتاريخ 14 نوفمبر 2010. سوف تكون المنافسة مفتوحة أمام أربع مجموعات الأطفال: فصول 1 إلى 4 و فصول 5 إلى 7 و فصول 8 إلى 10 و فصول 11 إلى 12. سوف تعقد المسابقة في مدرسة أبوظبي الهندية و تبدأ من الساعة 10.00 صباحا و تجري لمدة ساعتين. قد تم إرسال المعلومات إلى جميع المدارس الهندية. يتم الموافاة بنتائج المسابقة إلى مدراء المدرسة المختصة.
14-Nov-2010	Painting competition on the occasion of Children’s Day In collaboration with Abu Dhabi Indian School organized a painting competition on the occasion of Children’s Day by the Cultural Wing. The competition was open to four groups: Classes 1 to 4, Classes 5 to 7, Classes 8 to 10, Classes 11 and 12. The venue of the competition was Abu Dhabi Indian School. Nearly 1000 students participated from different Indian schools in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, Dubai and Sharjah. The event was judged by three eminent artists, Ms. Neena Rai (Indian artist), Ms. Jeniffer Simon (Artists from UK) and Linda Stephanian (Artist from America). The topics selected for the contest were Chacha Nehru, Children of the world, save the girl child, the Independence movement and joys of childhood. The prize distribution ceremony was held during President’s Visit to Abu Dhabi Indian School on November 23, 2010. The certificates and mementos for the first, second and third prize winners of all the four groups of painting competition were presented by The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil. The other prominent dignitaries included Shri. M. K. Lokesh (Ambassador of India to UAE), H. E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi (Minister of Foreign Trade, UAE), Shri Bharatsinh Solanki (Ministry of Power) and B. R. Shetty (CEO of New Medical Centre group of Companies). The prize distribution ceremony was followed by cultural dance performance by the students of Abu Dhabi Indian School. مسابقة الرسم بمناسبة يوم الأطفال نظم الجناح الثقافي للسفارة بالتعاون مع مدرسة أبوظبي الهندية مسابقة للرسوم و اللوحات بمناسبة يوم الأطفال. كانت المسابقة مفتوحة أمام طلاب و طالبات من الفصل الواحد حتى الثاني عشر في حرم مدرسة أبوظبي الهندية. شارك في هذه المسابقة قرابة ألف طالب و طالبة من مختلف مدارس أبوظبي و العين و عجمان و دبي و الشارقة. كان يحكم على هذا الحدث ثلاثة فنانين بارزين السيدة لينا راي (فنانة هندية) و السيدة جينيفر سيمون (فنانة من المملكة المتحدة) و السيدة ليندا ستيفانيان (فنانة أميركية). كانت موضوعات المسابقة شاشا نهرو، أولاد العالم، إنقاذ طفلة، حركة الاستقلال و بهجة الطفولة. و تم تقسيم الجوائز للفائزين بعد قدوم فخامة الرئيسة الهندية السيدة براتيبها ديفيسينج باتيل في أبوظبي في 23 نوفمبر 2010 بأيدي فخامة الرئيسة. حضر حفل الجوائز عدد من الضيوف الكبار بما فيهم معالي إم كيه لوكيش سفير الهند لدى دولة الإمارات و معالي الشيخة لبنى بنت خالد القاسمي وزيرة التجارة الخارجية للإمارات و السيد بهاراتسينه سولانكي وزير الطاقة الهندي و السيد بي آر شيتي الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة شركات المركز الطبي الجديد. و بعد حفل الجوائز قام طلاب مدرسة أبوظبي الهندية بتقديم الرقص الثقافي. 06-Nov-2010	Telugu Ghazal Evening by Dr. Ghazal Srinivas The Cultural Wing in collaboration with Telugu Kalasravanthi organized a Telugu Ghazal evening by “Maestro" Dr. Ghazal Srinivas at Indian Embassy auditorium. Dr. Kesiraju Srinivas popularly known as Ghazal Srinivas is an Indian classical vocalist and Pioneer of art of Telugu Ghazal singing. He has set Two Guinness world records and Limca record by singing ghazals on Gandhism in 125 world languages. أمسية غزل تيلجو أحياها الدكتور غزل سرينيفاس نظم الجناح الثقافي للسفارة مع منظمة تيلجو كالاسرافانثي أمسية غناء غزل بلغة تيلجو أحياها المغني الشهير الدكتور غزل سرينيفاس في قاعة السفارة الهندية. الدكتور كيسيراجو سرينيفاس المعروف بــــغزل سرينيفاس مطرب كلاسيكي و رائد فن غناء الغزل تيلجو، يحمل أرقام قياسية غينيس و ليمكا لغناء الغزل حول الغاندية بـــ125 لغة عالمية.
