• DIPLOMATS AND OFFICIALS

Diplomatic Visa & Official Visa for official purposes would be given gratis provided the application is submitted along with a Note Verbale from the concerned Embassy/Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE clearly mentioning the purpose of visit. All such visas will be valid for an initial stay of three months/two months in India.

Application for Diplomatic & Official gratis visa as mentioned above can be submitted with all required documents  at the Embassy during 0900 hrs to 1230 hrs on all working days.

• DIPLOMATS AND OFFICIALS ASSIGNED TO INDIA

The practice regarding grant of a diplomatic and official visa to a foreign diplomat and official assigned to India is based on the principle of reciprocity.

• DIPLOMATS/OFFICIALS NOT ASSIGNED TO INDIA

The holder of an official passport is not entitled to an official gratis visa when the visit is not in connection with official business.

• PAKISTANI NATIONALS

Pakistan nationals with resident visa of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and residing there may apply in quadruplicate (two originals and two photocopies in the prescribed application form), with four recent passport size photographs, the current and all previous passports, a photocopy of the first five pages of the current passport and documentary evidence as may be required. Visitor visa is granted to Pakistan nationals, who have blood relatives in India or other legitimate purpose, and should furnish documentary proof in support thereof. They should give a complete verifiable address of their relative in India. Application should be complete in all respects and should in particular, indicate port of arrival as well as details of previous visits to India, if any.

Applications for Business visas should be supported by a letter from the Chamber of Commerce & Industry/sponsor and invitations from companies in India.

• FORIEGN NATIONALS OF PAKISTANI ORIGIN

Applications of Pakistan origin persons for visa of all categories will be dealt with according to concerned Ministry guidelines issued from time to time. Dual nationals of Pakistan, i.e. those holding dual nationality, Pakistan origin card etc should apply only on their Pakistani passports, if they are still holding valid Pakistani passports. Visas for foreign nationals with Pakistani origin will be issued only for a period of 3- months with single entry.
