Middle-East Regional Hindi Conference at Abu Dhabi (February, 22-24, 2006)

With the aim of promoting learning of Hindi language in the Middle East region, the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi is organizing the first-ever Middle-East Regional Hindi Conference at Abu Dhabi from February 22-24, 2006. The Conference is expected to be attended by about 50 Hindi teachers from the UAE and one representative each from Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Jordan and will be presided over by H.E. Mr. C.M. Bhandari, Ambassador of India to the UAE.

The Conference will be inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, Government of the United Arab Emirates, on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 6.30 pm at the Embassy of India Auditorium, Abu Dhabi.

Deliberations start on Feb 23, 2006 from 9.00 am. The participants will be visiting Dubai in late afternoon and attend the Hindi poetry & Mushaira (Urdu poetry) being organized at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian School, Dubai (entry by invitation card only) to mark India’s Republic Day and the first Hindi Conference. The Conference will close on Feb 24 by 2.00 pm. Those interested in attending the deliberations at the Embassy of India auditorium sessions, are cordially invited.
