Hon’ble Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India, Mr. Vayalar Ravi, will be visiting the UAE from May 4-6, 2006. On Thursday, May 4 at 1800 hrs, he will inaugurate the computerized Consular Wing of the Embassy (passport, visa and consular services) and also hand over the first batch of Overseas Indian Citizen cards to recipients present in the Embassy auditorium. Thereafter, he will have an interactive session with Indian Community Association representatives from the Abu Dhabi Emirate. He will also be having a similar interactive session at the Consulate General of India, Dubai auditorium on Friday, May 5 at 1600 hrs for Indian Community Association representatives from Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The Hon’ble Minister will be attending two public functions to be organized in his honour– 1) by the Malayalee Samajam in Abu Dhabi at 2000 hrs on May 4, and 2) by KMCC in Dubai at 2000 hrs on May 5th.
The Hon’ble Minister is also expected to have a meeting with H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Abdullah Al Kaabi, Minister of Labour in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, May 6 and may address a press conference in Dubai later in the afternoon (time and venue subject to confirmation).
