Visit to UAE of H. E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Indian Foreign Minister from 12-14 May, 2008 May 11, 2008
H. E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs, Government of India is visiting United Arab Emirates from 12-14 May, 2008 for bilateral talks. During the visit he will be calling on the following dignitaries to discuss matters of mutual interest:
- HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
- HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
- HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
He will have bilateral discussions with HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, UAE.
This visit is a part of the on-going high-level interaction between India and United Arab Emirates. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai visited India in March 2007. This was followed by visit of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of United Arab Emirates, for the meeting of the India-UAE Joint Commission in New Delhi.
During the visit H.E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs will deliver an address at the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, Abu Dhabi, on “India’s Foreign Policy and India-Gulf Relations - Meeting and the Challenges of the 21st Century”.
He will also meet at dinner with the Emirati and Indian Businessmen at World Trade Centre Club, Dubai, where he will address them on “India’s Vibrant Economy and India-UAE Business Relations”.
