Cooperation Agreement between ECSSR and ICWA

An Agreement for Cooperation between The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), Abu Dhabi, and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), New Delhi, was signed today by H.E. Mr. Ashok Kumar, Director General of ICWA and Mr. Abdullah Hussein Al-Sahlawi, Executive Director, ECSSR on behalf of H.E. Dr. Jamal S. Al-Suwaidi, Director General, ECSSR. H.E. Mr. Talmiz Ahmad, Ambassador of India, was present on the occasion.
The Agreement is aimed at setting up a long-term relationship between the ICWA and ECSSR to promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest, such as : Publications, Publishing material, Marketing and Advertising, Exchange of visits and information, Conferences and Workshops, Training and Research activities, Field Research, Cooperation in specific events in future.
The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECCSR) is a premier independent think-tank focusing on scientific research and studies on social, economic and political issues of interest to the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region in particular and the Arab world in general.
The ICWA was established in 1943 and is dedicated to the study of international affairs. The main objectives of the ICWA are to promote the study of Indian and international affairs, so as to develop a body of informed opinion on international matters, and to promote India’s relations with other countries through study, research, discussions, lectures, exchange of ideas and information with other organizations within and outside India engaged in similar activities.
